How does the Apple AirTag Work?
Over 1 Billion iPhones, iPads, Macs and other Apple devices in the FindMy network act as tracking beacons, triangulating the location of your AirTag almost anywhere on the planet. As long as your AirTag is in an area where there are Apple devices, you will be able to precisely track and locate your device. This makes the range on Apple AirTags far superior to Tile and other bluetooth trackers (limited to ~150ft).
Is the TagLock Bike Mount easy to install?
Yes! Under 10 minutes guaranteed.
We include an insert in every package with a QR code directing you to the instructions. Simply unscrew the reflector cap and insert your AirTag into the empty space inside the body of the bike mount. Screw the reflector cap back on, and use a standard phillips head screw driver to attach the mount to your seat post.
Will the TagLock Bike Mount fit my bike?
The TagLock Bike Mount was designed to fit bike seat post mounts ranging 25mm - 28mm. If your bike is outside of this range, the TagLock Bike Mount will still work. Simply attach the reflector body to any other bike reflector seat post mount. Please see the instructions page for more explanation.
Is the TagLock Bike Mount waterproof?
The TagLock Bike Mount reflector cap creates a water resistant seal to the bike reflector body housing your AirTag. This has been diligently tested to prevent damage to our customer's AirTags. The AirTag device itself is IP67 certified, meaning it is 100% protected from dust or sand and has been tested to work for at least 30 minutes under 15cm to 1m of water.
Will thieves be able to hear the AirTag beep?
The AirTag device is programmed to beep if they are away from their owner's iPhone - at a random time between eight and 24 hours - to alert people nearby. The TagLock Bike Mount seals the AirTag inside a polypropylene housing with a 3/4" foam insert to dampen the AirTag's alert.
